EQ: How do processes inside Earth shape the world as we know it? Evidence: The core heats up the mantle. The mantle rises, cools and then sinks again. This is called a convection current. We can observe convection currents in Mrs. Thomasian's lava lamps. The light bulb inside the lamp heats the wax, which then rises to the top. Once it gets to the top it starts to slowly sink to the bottom. 2) Puzzle activity- compared how the pieces of the puzzle fit together like the pieces of crust 3) Plate Boundaries notes foldable Homework: Daily Summary (will be collected Friday 9/28/2018) Candy Bar Lab Monday Oct. 1 (BYO candy bar - no nuts!)
